Many people ask how we got our name.

 

Friday was our beautiful Golden Retriever. She was full of personality, joy, and unconditional love. Although she’s no longer with us, her spirit remains at the heart of everything we do.

 

Friday was an entrepreneur in her own way. Along with photography, we raise Golden Retrievers under the name Friday Goldens, so she inspired not one business, but two. Clients still smile when they hear the story, and we think she’d be proud to know her name continues to bring people together.

 

Today, PhotoByFriday specializes in dance photography and professional headshots throughout Rhode Island and southern New England.

 

Our North Kingstown studio, conveniently located just off Route 4 and only minutes from East Greenwich, is designed for professional headshots, business portraits, actor headshots, and personal branding sessions.

 

For dance photography and other full-length creative portraits, we work from our larger Pawtucket studio, located just off I-95 and easily accessible from anywhere in Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut, and southeastern Massachusetts. The larger shooting space allows us to photograph movement, athleticism, and artistry without compromise.

 

Photography is my second career and my true passion. After retiring from corporate America, I turned my lifelong love of photography into a full-time profession more than fifteen years ago. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of photographing everyone from business professionals and performers to college athletes and dancers at every level—from young students preparing for auditions to professional artists.

 

As a lifelong lover of ballet, dance photography holds a special place in my heart. My dream is one day to be the photographer for a major ballet company. Every dancer I photograph, whether they’re six years old or dancing professionally, receives the same attention to detail, lighting, and artistry.

 

While dance and headshots are the heart of PhotoByFriday, we also offer select family portraits and boudoir photography, bringing the same creativity and personal attention to every session.
